HEADACHE

Exercise related Headaches

Benign Exertional Headache (Weight lifting, Running)

Exertional Migraine

Post-traumatic Migraine (Football/Soccer)

Dysautonomic Cephalgia

External compression headache (swimming goggles)

High Altitude headache

Hypercapniac headache

Other causes of Headache (Viral illness, Migraine, Referred pain, Tension headache, intra-cranial, etc)

 

CONCUSSION

It is usually a Head Injury resulting in a temporary impairment of neurological function, reflecting a functional disturbance than a structural impairment.

It is described as simple when it resolves within 10 days and complex when it persists longer. In the acute situation unconsiousness, convulsions or tonic posturing may be

seen. If LOC persists for more than 5 minutes, neurological deficit, post-traumatic convulsions, persisting cerebral symptoms, the patient has to be admitted to the hospital

for further evaluation. Multiple episodes of concussion over a long period of time may result in a 'punch drunk' syndrome.
