The disabled, just like the able bodied, are likely to benefit from sport and exercise. There are a wide variety of physical and psychological benefits. Regular aerobic exercise helps to improve their cardio-vascular fitness and weight control, and there by improve their mobility as well. They should be given an oppurtunity to participate in a wide variety of sport and actively encouraged, if they so desire. Their special needs have to be carefully considered too.
